Your household & who can see what
Everything in My Porchlight lives inside your household. You can add the people and pets you coordinate for, and decide exactly who sees what.
Adding people
Add a household member with their details — the only must-have is an email address. You can also add a birthdate, a location (address or ZIP), a phone number, and a photo.

/account#people, then the “Your household” section → “Add a person”]
People can be parents, children, members, assistants, neighbours, or friends. You can also add pets — no email needed.
Access levels
Each person you add can be given a level of access:
- Member — part of the household, no sign-in access.
- Viewer — can see what you share, can't change it.
- Editor — can add and edit shared items.
- Owner — full access, including billing.
A married couple can co-own one household — grant your partner owner access and you both manage the same account.
Life areas & granular sharing
Your household is organized by life area (Home, Family, Health, Finances, Professional Services, and so on). Access can be granted to a part of your household, not just all of it — for example, give your pet-sitter viewer access to just your Pets area, and nothing else.
Projects
A project pulls together the contacts, events, to-dos, documents, and photos for one effort — a renovation, a move, a health episode — and files under a life area. Share a project with a viewer or editor without opening up the rest of your household.
